Topic: Sabbath as Tautology A statement that is always true is called a tautology. A tautology is part of logic in propositional mathematics called _sentential form_ in abstract mathematics. While a statement that is always false is called a contradiction, meaning that it is always false regardless of it's settings.  In grammar a tautology is a statement that iterates a phrase.  Isaiah tells us clearly without any doubt that the Sabbath has neither cultural nor racial bounds to it. The Sabbath is not a Hebrew or Jewish institution. A Eunuch is someone who is either lacking the ability to bear children by reason of emasculation or ritual castration(a practice done in false religions), OR he can be considered a minister of government(politician).   Isa 56:3 KJV Neither let the son of the stranger(non Hebrew), that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. The abo...

Topic: Sabbath as a sign of Redemption Deu 5:15 KJV And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day. Jesus' first recorded sermon on Sabbath was a Messianic sermon, the Bible says that   "... he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.Luk 4:16 KJV The idea of redemption in the Hebrew mindset is quite different to that of most Christian today. Most Christians believe that you're saved by attending a certain denomination and following definite rituals or ceremonial rites.  For a good Hebrew salvation was in adherence to the Law of the fathers or to retain the connection to Abraham.  This made it possible to be saved. Moses wrote in Deuteronomy that salvation is in observing the Sabbath. And r...

Topic: Sabbath vs Politics Exo 20:9-10 KJV 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: One of the reasons for keeping the Seventh day as the Sabbath is to cease from labour and work. This commandment strikes at the very core of political and civil service relations. The Hebrew idea of Labour is " *to provide a service to another or to work at a profession...*"  While the term work means: public business, either  (a). political  (b). religious The observance of the Sabbath has both political and religious connotations. Religious connotations where felt when Jesus performed miracles on the Sabbath. Luk 13:14 KJV And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people,...

Topic: The Sabbath as Prophecy Exo 5:5 KJV And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens. Egypt was generally to the south of Jerusalem, and Babylon was to the north. The king of Babylonia was refered to as the King of the North and the King of Egypt was refered to as the King of the South.  Exodus 5:5 is a political manifesto from a disgruntled King. His civil service was hinged on slave labor. Moses appears on the scene as a civil rights activists.  And he meets Pharoah where he is strongest that is on the politico-religious platform. Interestingly Moses makes a request based on religious grounds: Exo 5:1 KJV And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may *hold a feast* unto me in the wilderness. The Hebrew meaning for feast is Hag(חגג)(Arabic cognate is Haj). This word is used not necessarily to point to any specific festival but to a generi...

Topic: The Sabbath as time There are basically two days that are similar in appearance but that differ in time(chronology).  Gen 1:3 KJV And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. In Genesis one, on the first day, God made the light. The Hebrew word is Ori. The science behind the study of Light in modern academia belongs to the field of study known as Quantum mechanics/ Quantum Physics/ Quantum cosmology.  Light is the basis of all living things. It is the basic building block of all sub atomic particles. Light is energy. It therefore makes sense that the Creator must begin by making light.  Seems like the Hebrew scriptures here beat the other theories of creation, in that the gods of the world they create out of pre existing matter. While the God of the Bible creates, as they say in Latin Ex Nihil.  Light being energy is basically nothing. Energy is electromagnet in nature. Therefore it's behaviour is more in the scientific area known as the  wave t...

Topic: Types of Sabbaths Col 2:16 KJV Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: The above text has made some to believe that the Seventh day Sabbath is a "...shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ..." (Col 2:17 Kjv). A mere glance at the first qoute above we can see a classification,  (a) in meat (b) in drink (c) respect of an holy day (d) new moon (e) sabbath days This classification is particular to Hebrew Law code. In Romans  7:1 KJV  Paul's argument for the perpetuity of the law, he begins by saying that "... I speak to them that know the law..."  In theological terms we call such an argument an appodictic argument because the reference to the topic of the argument is known to the intended audience.  Unfortunately  arguments presented by Paul have a tendence to defy some implied audiences, most of which are modern day Christians who do not know the Law like ...

Topic: Etiology of the Sabbath The term Sabbath found in Exodus 16: 23.. And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.  This verse tells us that the Sabbath is unto the Lord...where as Isaiah speaks of sabbaths which are man made.  Isa 1:13-14 KJV 13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. *14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.* Exodus however is making allusions to the original rest day that the Creator initially instatiated in Genesis 2: 2-3. This day clearly cannot be attributed to the day(s) that Isaiah had refered to in his writtings. So from...
