The Mark Of Cain

The Mark Of Cain.

B A Theology

And
Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
(Gen 4:1).

And
she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but
Cain was a tiller of the ground.
(Gen
4:2).

And
in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of
the ground an offering unto the LORD.
(Gen
4:3).

And
Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat
thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:(Gen
4:4).

Cain,
the First born Child after the Fall of man, was conceived with the attitude that he would be the Messianic figure to redeeme man from their Sins(Gen 3:15). Cain stood in the place were Adam should have stood. He had the responsibility of bearing the Sins of the world upon his shoulders. In Genesis 3:15, a promise was given and it's fullfilment was expected neigh. Hence the etymology of the name Cain is a play of the a
primitive root; to erect, that is, create; by extension to procure,
especially by purchase (causatively
sell);
by implication to
own: - attain, buy (-er), teach to
keep cattle, get, provoke to jealousy, possess (-or), purchase, recover, redeem, X surely, X verily
[1].1

This
implies Cain was conceived to do what Adam had failed. The expectations of cain were such that he was to reveal God's purpose
towards the plan of redemption. How then were they going to do that? The answer lies in the in the statement that the Adam spoke of the period of their fall.

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because

I
was
naked
; and I hid myself.(Gen
3:10).

As
compared to
(Gen
2:25)

and
they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not
ashamed.
The
nakednes is a symbol of guilt due to sin. Were-as a guiltless
conscious is compared also to clothing,
(Rev
19:8)
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Their
nudity symbolized that they were lacking the righteousness of Christ
(Rom 5:17)
For if by one man's offence death reigned by
one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift
of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
(Php
1:11 KJV)

Being filled with the
fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory
and praise of God.

Cain
killed his Brother because of the fact that God Justified the other
and condenmed the another. Cain being the oldest was supposed to have
learnt the lesson of justification from Adam. He should have offered
a better sacrifice,
(Heb
11:4 KJV)

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,
by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of
his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

In
every offering that pointed to Christ, the shedding of blood was to
represent the death of the Saviour. But for His offering Cain brought
of the first-fruits of the ground, by which no faith in Christ was
manifested. Cain's offering was refused. So with the religion of the
Jewish nation. Their faith and doctrines became as salt without a
savor. They had a form of religion, as had Cain; they had an altar,
as had Cain; they had a sacrifice, as had Cain; and, like Cain, they
lacked the only thing by which their offerings could express faith in
God's promise, --the slain Lamb2.

Cain
represents a religion of works. In (Gen
4:5 KJV)

we read the following But unto Cain and to his offering he
had
not respect
3.
And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Cain
killed Abel, because Abel offered an excellent sacrifice.
(Rom
12:1 KJV)

I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by
the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God,
which
is
your
reasonable service
.
(Rom
12:2 KJV)

And be not conformed to this world:
but
be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what
is
that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

God
showed mercy when Cain made a request, not of guilt, but of self
preservation, (contrast his desire for self preservation with the
selfless spirit of the followers of Christ in
(Rev
12:11 KJV)

And they overcame him
by
the blood of the Lamb,

and by the word of their testimony;
and
they loved not their lives unto the death.)

According
to the Satanic Bible, Satanism is a blatantly selfish, brutal
philosophy. It is based on the belief that human beings are
inherently selfish, violent creatures, that life is a Darwinian
struggle for survival of the fittest, that only the strong survive
and the earth will be ruled by those who fight to win the ceaseless
competition that exists in all jungles - including those of urbanized
society. Abhor this brutal outlook if you will; it is based, as it
has been for centuries, on real conditions that exist in the world we
inhabit rather than the mystical lands of milk and honey depicted in
the Christian Bible. Cain was the ultimate manifestation of Satanism.

(Gen
4:13-15 KJV)
And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is
greater than I can bear
. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day
from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I
shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall
come to pass, that every one that
findeth me shall slay me.

Vs
15, And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain,
vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark
upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Cain's
mark is a symbol showing that he was the faher of the wicked. The
Bible does not record Cain asking for forgiveness forf his sin. All
who seek self preservation above the glory of God are under the mark of Cain. The etymology of the term “mark”4
is the Hebrew word (
H226
אות
'o^th
oth Probably
from
H225)
(in the sense of
appearing);
a
signal
(literally or figuratively), as a
flag,
beacon,
monument,
omen,
prodigy,
evidence,
etc.: - mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token.

The
same word is also used in (Exo
31:13 KJV)

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my
sabbaths ye shall keep:
for
it
is
a sign

between me and you throughout your generations; that
ye
may know that I
am
the LORD that doth sanctify you.
(Eze
20:20 KJV)

And hallow my sabbaths; and they
shall
be a sign between me and you
,
that ye may know that I
am
the LORD your God.

God's
law is the test of loyalty to Him, in as much as Adam was suppossed
to listen to God's precept and commandments, Cain the first born was
also suppossed to examplify the righteousness of God which is in
Christ. This can only be shown by observing that which is God's mark
of loalty. Not a man centered religion of works.

(2Th
2:4 KJV)
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is
called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(Dan
11:45 KJV)
And he(the king of the North) shall plant
the tabernacles of his palace
between the seas in the
glorious holy mountain
; yet he shall come to his end, and
none shall help him. Seth was of more noble stature than Cain or
Abel, and resembled Adam more than any of his other sons.
The
descendants of Seth had separated themselves from the wicked
descendants of Cain.
They cherished the knowledge of God's will,
while the ungodly race of Cain had no respect for God and his sacred
commandments. But when men multiplied upon the earth, the descendants
of Seth saw that the daughters of the descendants of Cain were very
beautiful, and they departed from God and displeased him by taking
wives as they chose of the idolatrous race of Cain5
.

Seth
is a type of God's people who heed God's message and follow it in the
end of days, and after these things I saw another angel come down
from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his
glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon
the great is fallen, is fallen,
and is become the habitation of
devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every
unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of
the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have
committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are
waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard
another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people,

that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her
plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath
remembered her iniquities(Rev 18:1-5 KJV).

To
unite with those that don't keep God's law is a detriment to our
soul. The descendents of Seth put themselves under the banner of the
mark of Cain, nad the resultant off-springs were gaints, which were
also the reason why the flood came. Those who honored and feared to
offend God, at first felt the curse but lightly; while those who
turned from God and trampled upon his authority, felt the effects of
the curse more heavily, especially in stature and nobleness of form.
The descendants of Seth were called the sons of God--the descendants
of Cain, the sons of men. As the sons of God mingled with the sons of
men, they became corrupt, and by intermarriage with them, lost,
through the influence of their wives, their peculiar, holy character,
and united with the sons of Cain in their idolatry6.

And
it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth,
and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the
daughters of men that they were
fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD
said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is
flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were
giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons
of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children
to them, the same became mighty
men which were of old, men
of renown7.

(Gen
6:1-4 KJV).

The
term “renown” is used to mean the
(1)
name (1a) name (1b) reputation, fame, glory (1c) the Name (as
designation of God) (1d) memorial, monument.

And
Cain knew his wife; and she conceived,
and
bare Enoch8
:
and he builded a city,
and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch
.
(Gen
4:17 KJV)

And
unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and
Mehujael begat Methusael9:
and Methusael begat Lamech. (Gen 4:18 KJV)

And
Lamech10
took unto him two wives:
the name of the one was
Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. (Gen
4:19 KJV)

And
Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in
tents,
and of such as have
cattle. (Gen 4:20 KJV)

And
his brother's name was Jubal:
he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
(Gen 4:21 KJV)

And
Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every
artificer in brass and iron
: and the sister of Tubalcain was
Naamah. (Gen 4:22 KJV)

And
Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye
wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my
wounding, and a young man to my hurt. (Gen
4:23 KJV)

If
Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

(Gen 4:24 KJV)

The
more
men
multiplied wives to themselves
,
the
more they increased
in wickedness and unhappiness.

If one chose
to take the
wives, or cattle, or anything belonging to his neighbor, he did not
regard justice or right
,
but
if
he could prevail over his neighbor by reason of strength, or by
putting him to death, he did so
,
and
exulted in his deeds
of violence. They loved to destroy the lives of animals. They used
them for food, and this increased their ferocity and violence, and
caused them to look upon the blood of human beings with astonishing
indifference11
.

And
Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as
Nimrod the mighty hunter before12
the LORD. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and
Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

(Gen
10:8-10 KJV).

Nimrod
was the son of Cush; Cush inhabited Ethiopia; Cush was the son of
Ham; and Egypt was the land of Ham. Thus we trace the genealogy of
Nimrod directly to Egypt; and we can trace his example also to Egypt.
Although Nimrod was the first man to wear the kingly crown, the first
one who bore the title and asserted the dominion of king, yet in
Egypt that example of Nimrod in all its phases was followed most
completely, was established most fully13.

In
Egypt there was not a king until after the time of Nimrod; not until
after he had usurped the place and authority of king. For, you
remember, when Nimrod did it, it was against God, against the
people's idea of God, and against their knowledge of him. At that
time the people knew that in this, Nimrod was taking the place of
God; and his name indicates the views that were then prevalent as to
the action. In Egypt the same course was pursued. The Egyptian
records certify that the
first
rulers of Egypt were the gods, the next were the demi-gods, that is
the half gods; after these were the kings themselves who were men
13.

The
tower of Babel.

And
the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came
to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain
in the land of Shinar
; and they dwelt there. And they said one to
another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they
had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, Go
to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may
reach
unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be
scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came
down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men
builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is
one
, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do:
and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have
imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their
language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the
LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the
earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the
name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the
language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them
abroad upon the face of all the earth.(Gen
11:1-9 KJV)

The
dwellers on the plain of Shinar disbelieved God's covenant that He
would not again bring a flood upon the earth. Many of them denied the
existence of God and attributed the Flood to the operation of natural
causes. Others believed in a Supreme Being,
and
that it was He who had destroyed the antediluvian world; and their
hearts, like that of Cain, rose up in rebellion against Him.

One object before them in the erection of the tower was to secure
their own safety in case of another deluge. By carrying the structure
to a much greater height than was reached by the waters of the Flood,
they thought to place themselves beyond all possibility of danger.
And as they would be able to ascend to the region of the clouds, they
hoped to ascertain the cause of the Flood. The whole undertaking was
designed to exalt still further the pride of its projectors and to
turn the minds of future generations away from God and lead them into
idolatry14.

The
Babel builders15
had indulged the spirit of murmuring against God. Instead of
gratefully remembering His mercy to Adam and His gracious covenant
with Noah, they had complained of His severity in expelling the first
pair from Eden and destroying the world by a flood. But while they
murmured against God as arbitrary and severe, they were accepting the
rule of the cruelest of tyrants.
Satan
was seeking to bring contempt upon the sacrificial offerings that
prefigured the death of Christ;

and as the minds of the people were darkened by idolatry,
he
led them to counterfeit these offerings and sacrifice their own
children upon the altars of their gods
.
As men turned away from God, the divine attributes--justice, purity,
and love--were supplanted by oppression, violence, and brutality16.

Abraham.

Abraham
the first person who believes in Jehova to come out of Babylon.
(Gen
11:28-29 KJV)...

And
Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur
of the Chaldees. And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of
Abram's wife
was
Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran,
the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah. Now the LORD had said
unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and
from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee.
(Gen
12:1-2 KJV)

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and
make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

The
reason why Abraham was called out of Babylon is due to the fact that
there was an influence that God did not favour to have contaminate
the father of the nations, who was to carry the Seed that was to
crash the serpent to bring us back to our Edenic home.

According
to Alexender Hislop “The Chaldean Mysteries can be traced up to the
days of Semiramis, who lived only a few centuries after the flood,
and who is known to have impressed upon them the image of her own
depraved and polluted mind”17.
Historians like AMMIANUS MARCELLINUS compared with JUSTINUS,
Historia and EUSEBIUS' Chronicle. Eusebius says that Ninus and
Semiramis reigned in the time of Abraham. That beautiful but
abandoned queen of Babylon was not only herself a paragon of
unbridled lust and licentiousness, but in the Mysteries which she had
a chief hand in forming, she was worshipped as Rhea, the great
"MOTHER" of the gods, with such atrocious rites as
identified her with Venus, the MOTHER of all impurity, and raised the
very city where she had reigned to a bad eminence among the nations,
as the grand seat at once of idolatry and consecrated prostitution18.

In
the book of Jeremiah we find reference are made to the queen of
heaven,
Jer_7:18
The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the
women knead
their
dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink
offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

Jer_44:17
But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own
mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out
drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our
kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of
Jerusalem: for
then
had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

Jer_44:18
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to
pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all
things,
and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

Jer_44:19
And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out
drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and
pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

Jer_44:25
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your
wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your
hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to
burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings
unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform
your vows.

The
sin of Judah is written with a
pen of iron, and with the point
of a diamond: it is graven upon
the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

(Jer
17:1 KJV)

Then
said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the
house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his
imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken
the earth. He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and
thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me
to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was
toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

(Eze
8:12-14 KJV)

He
cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that
have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with
his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the
way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a
slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was
clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn
by his side: and they
went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.

(Eze
9:1-2 KJV)

The
heart is deceitful above all
things, and desperately wicked:
who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I
try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and
according to the fruit of his doings.

(Jer
17:9-10 KJV)

Jeremiah
had a message for the people and that message was to proclaimed at
the gate, Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the
children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by
the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

(Jer
17:19 KJV) the gate is a symbol of the judgement.

And
say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and
all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by
these gates: Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear
no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it
in by the gates of Jerusalem; Neither carry forth a burden out of
your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye
the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers. But they obeyed not,
neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they
might not hear, nor receive instruction. And it shall come to pass,
if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no
burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow
the sabbath day, to do no work therein; Jer
17:20- 24 KJV)

Saying
with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of
his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

(Rev
14:7 KJV)

And
the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man
worship the beast and his image, and receive his
mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

(Rev
14:9 KJV)
